Susanne Nicholson has been a professional hair stylist and
colour technician for over twenty years. Whilst starting her career in Brisbane,
Susanne has trained with some of London’s top stylists and colour
technicians, names like Nicky Clarke (fashion magazine and session
stylist) and Patrick Cameron (international hair up specialist, and long hair designer),
Dale Dorning the hair & make up master class ( Hairdresser, educator and makeup
artist, commissioned to work with numerous celebrity clients), this is just to
name a few, Susanne is constantly updating her skills and keeping up with the
latest styles technology, and products.
Susanne is also trained and specializes in Racoon hair extensions and
is a
Napoleon Perdis Acadamy trained makeup artist. In addition to her
training, Susanne worked in London’s West End, and managed one
of the Head Masters chains of salons in Fulham. Under her influence, Head
Masters Fulham won the L’Oreal Colour Trophy for
London in 1998 and went on to win the London Hair Salon of the Year
1998.
Susanne returned to Australia in late 1998, whilst working
and training at Oscar Oscar concept salon in Brisbane City, Susanne went on to manage
and work in some of the finest salons of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs
including those in the exclusive enclave of Double Bay.
With careful application of her knowledge and
experience, Susanne established an extensive following of clients amongst
Sydney’s ‘dress circle’.
After nearly a decade in Sydney, Susanne returned to
Queensland, and is currently situated in a charming studio in Brisbane.
Susanne’s experienced in advertising, events, television, music,
pictorial, editorials, and fashion parades including Sydney Fashion Week. Her
bridal work has appeared in leading magazines Modern Wedding, Perfect Brides
& Weddings and Real Weddings. She was also one of the stylists that
worked on the celebrity performers of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games closing ceremony.
Susanne styled the young Divas hair for their footy show performance in Sydney
2000 and was the stylist for Stephanie Rice on her 21st Birthday celebration in
Brisbane 2009.
Susanne is available for hair styling, colouring, hair

secure a booking, a deposit is required.

I only
use products of the highest quality; though I am not loyal to any one brand, some
of these products include Latonas, Bobbie Brown, Evolve Mac, Napoleon,
Proof, and Trucco, for makeup. Wella, Sebastian, Moroccan, Racoon, and GHD
products, for hair. I will use a combination of products and techniques
that will give the best results. To create a clean, fresh and glamorous
look. A style which is classical yet contemporary,
with an individual edge tailored to suit your facial shape and enhance your
looks.
Airbrushing - Airbrush foundation is high in coverage, but thin
in texture, offering a full coverage application that's dispersed as sheer and
evenly as possible. The result is perfect-looking skin achieved with minimal
product. The spray the airbrush puts down on the skin registers less on camera
than the patterns and lines that brushes and sponges leave behind. These marks
may appear invisible to the naked eye, though they are quite noticeable when
shown in Hi-Definition close-up or in a High Resolution Digital Photo. While
other advantages include longevity and durability the true advantage of
airbrush makeup is the beautiful result it produces.
Planning that perfect
combination of hair and makeup starts with a trial session; usually takes place in the
stylish and relaxed atmosphere of my studio. I recommend you have your trial done when you’re going somewhere
special! During the trial, feel free to bring along any magazine
photographs or other pictures of the look you desire and members of your bridal
party are also welcome to attend the trial. In preparing for your big day, I will
take the time to talk with you, to plan your desired look, and most
importantly the look that will best suit you. I will do this by taking
into account your skin complexion, hair type and any other special personal
elements for your day.
